Um, I made Bread...so you can be proud of me now.

It's true, I did. The husband got me motivated. I used the recipe in our Cuisinart book and used the Cuisinart and while I was sure it was going to fail...It Didn't! It tasted great, everyone like the bread and my son still thinks it is hilarious that I punched the dough down. I will definitely be making more and maybe even branching out to fancier breads, but no promises.

hey, that's great! Doesn't it feel good not to pay $5 for a loaf of bakery bread? I still haven't gotten motivated to move beyond regular white and wheat loaves, either. They just taste so good, why go to any extra effort?

Well done my dear, it's not so hard and the punching is so fun! Plus as my mom always told us the perfect bread dough feels just like a baby's bottom when it is warm and just ready to rise. My kids think this is especially funny, when I let them give it a little pat.

BTW your package arrived!!! Will be posting about it shortly!! THANK YOU!!! Its so very very perfect and lovely!!!

Great! I like that you went the extra mile and made bread that needs to be kneaded and punched...I'm still hanging with the Artisan Bread in 5 crowd and can't seem to muster the extra effort to make bread any other way. Your post is inspiring and maybe I'll drag out that dough hook this weekend, or just roll up my sleeves. We are proud of you, and the lovely bread!

I love it! Baby bottoms and no-punch bread. I already feel like I'm getting such an education. How I wish we could all bake bread together and then enjoy some butter and jam on our creations. Thanks for the encouragement.
