The Second Skirt

Another skirt has been created! This one is also from found fabric, it lived a previous life as a...skirt. So, it is not feeling as transformed as I do with this whole clothing making adventure. But, I do like the skirt and like that it is actual retro fabric. I had to be very careful when I cut the pattern out that everything was set to match up and it worked, for the most part. Even if it did make sewing a bit painstaking. As much as I like this skirt, it's pretty bold so I'm feeling a little intimidated about wearing it. It's also pretty work-y, rather than casual so I have build up the courage to wear it to work. Blog-friends, got any confidence to pass on?

Bold and beautiful. Just like you. Wear it, sister. Tomorrow.

Looking good! I like the fabric, wear it with pride my dear! Seems like you could match it with a nice light blue top, or dark purple or black .... even something olive green... seems like something even in the fall with dark tights and tall boots you could pull off.

I love it--I don't think it's too bold for work at all. the solid top makes it 100% professional. maybe with a longer bead-y necklace?

Looks great to me! I agree with the others: pair it with something simple and wear it proudly!
